About This Test
Ukiyo-e are woodblock prints made for ordinary city dwellers in Edo-period Japan, between 1603 and 1868. Hokusai's towering wave, Hiroshige's sudden rain on a bridge and Sharaku's kabuki actor portraits are still among the most recognised images in the world. This test uses only public domain scans and sorts them into 13 scenes, from a fierce samurai to a quiet snowfall.
Face matching compares the expression, colour and mood of your photo with each print and shows the closest one. A sharp, direct gaze tends to land near the actors and warriors, while a soft, calm photo drifts toward the snow scene or the crane. Treat the result as a game and read it however flatters you most.
Our AI analyzes your photo to find which of these 13 characters you resemble most. Powered by deep-learning face recognition, you get instant results to share with friends. Your photo is used only for analysis and is never stored.
